Logo
The City of Mississauga has updated
the Litterbug caricature for use in Canadian anti-litter campaigns. The "Don't
be a LitterBug" logo can be downloaded from this site and applied to signs,
posters, flyers, advertisements, etc. to promote litter
consciousness. Guidelines
This logo is intended to act as a
symbol of expectation and recognition by not-for-profit organizations that are
taking steps to modify public behaviour & attitudes towards littering and
ultimately reduce litter.
The logo is to be used by Canadian
municipalities and environmental associations in a reasonable manner to promote
litter abatement in their communities. Private sector partners - trade,
professional or commercial organizations - may use the logo for the same
purpose.
There is no need for express written
permission to use this logo, provided the following guidelines are applied to
each use:
- The logo should be used only in
accordance with the design and set reproduction specifications. It should be
reproduced in its official colours or in black. It may not be altered,
recreated or modified in any way. Care must be taken not to distort
proportions. Duplication must be of high quality and presented in a consistent
fashion.
- The logo may not be used for the
purpose of generating income or in any manner implying the endorsement or
promotion of products or services sold commercially or to suggest that products
are environmentally friendly.
- Users of the logo accept sole
responsibility and liability for the content of any materials or publications
that they generate.
